Bio Form for Cast & Crew

Guidelines for LCLT Program Cast & Crew Bios

  • Use 600 characters or less—including spaces and punctuation to write your bio.
  • Write in 3rd person. It is not an autobiography, it's a bio. Use subjects like—she, he, or your name.
  • Make it short and sweet. Being direct is better than using flowery or overly imaginative language.
  • Avoid lengthy lists of every role and show you've been in. Keep it concise. Highlight no more than THREE of your favorite most notable roles, crew positions or mention relevant training or education.
  • Write in “pyramid” style. Put the most important information to you at the top, working down to the less critical info by the last sentence.

Example bio - contains 598 characters

ROSE LOWERY (Laureen) has been active in theatre since high school and has far too many show credits to list them all. Her favorite roles at LCLT include Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire, Jessie Mae in The Trip to Bountiful, and Jane Bennett in Pride and Prejudice. She was a longtime performer in the Gridiron Show and has been the key note speaker at numerous local and statewide events. Rose serves on the LCLT board of directors and has six children and is married to Ron, her high school sweetheart. Rose loves to cook and entertain and is the owner and CEO of Mother Trucking.
